Our South Carolina wedding on Kiawah Island

I wanted to be able to share pieces of our lives here in the lifestyle section of Pare Home and what could be more perfect than our wedding. It was such an amazing experience and I would say my "style" is all over this event. Our South Carolina wedding on Kiawah made all my wedding design dreams come true, the live oak trees and low country backdrop was the muse and everything just came together from there. While I didn't design this entirely on my own and had the most amazing wedding planner (Pop the Bubbly Events), together we made the vision come to life!

We had wanted to keep our wedding small and limited to our family and closest friends. I had originally dreamed of an Italian countryside wedding in some epic Tuscan villa, but Jono kept my feet on the ground a bit and we landed on a destination wedding in South Carolina. There is some history there (fun fact: Jono used to drive rickshaw with his friend Sean who owns Charleston Pedicab) and my family is rooted in the south these days, so it was the perfect compromise. We finally settled on Kiawah, South Carolina and settled on our venue on the island to be Mingo Point.

When I say we had the best vendors, we really really did have the best people around us. It started with our wedding planner who guided us in the right direction. Since we were remote we knew we had to have a great relationship with our planner and we built that trust quickly. Plus, everyone we talked to, when we mentioned we were working with Betsey from Pop the Bubbly... EVERYONE said you have the best and you will be in great hands.
